Badrilal ji learned the sacred art of Pichwai painting at age seven, sitting beside his father in the shadow of the Shrinathji temple. His family has painted for the temple for over 200 years. Each piece takes 3-8 weeks of painstaking work using natural pigments ground by hand — a process unchanged since the 17th century.

Lakshmi Devi is one of the few women master artisans preserving the Tanjore painting tradition. All orders above ₹2,000 qualify for free delivery across India. For international orders, shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on location and order size.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Can I customize the size of an artwork?

Yes. While the sizes shown are recommended by our artists based on composition and balance, most artworks can be customized to fit your space. You can contact us for a consultation before placing your order.

Are all Aavyaan products handmade?

Yes. Every piece at Aavyaan is handcrafted by skilled artisans whose families have been preserving these traditions for generations. Slight variations in texture, color, or finish are natural, making each creation truly one of a kind.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Do the artworks come framed?

All Tanjore paintings come framed. Other artworks, such as Pichwai, Pattachitra, and Oleographs, are shipped unframed by default. Framing can be arranged at an additional charge upon request.
