We Are the Bridge Between Centuries-Old Craft and Modern Collectors
Avyaan was born from a deeply personal mission. Our founder watched master craftsmen — whose families had preserved their art for centuries — struggle to find buyers who truly valued their work. Middlemen diluted their stories. Mass production threatened their traditions. The world was losing irreplaceable cultural treasures.
We built Avyaan to change that. We travel to the remote villages of Nathdwara, Raghurajpur, Thanjavur, and Patan — sitting with artisan families, understanding their craft, and bringing their masterpieces directly to collectors worldwide. No middlemen. No mass production. Just authentic, handcrafted heritage art, delivered with the stories and provenance that make each piece a living treasure.
When you buy from Avyaan, 50% of the price goes directly to the artisan family. You're not just buying art — you're sustaining a tradition and feeding a family that has kept India's cultural heritage alive for generations.

The Master Hands Behind Every Masterpiece

Why Buying Authentic Indian Heritage Art Has Been Nearly Impossible — Until Now
Fake 'Handmade' Art Everywhere
Online marketplaces are flooded with machine-printed replicas sold as 'authentic handcrafted' art. Without expertise, it's nearly impossible to tell the difference. Thousands of buyers have been deceived into paying premium prices for factory-made copies.
Verified Authentic, Always
Every piece undergoes our rigorous 5-step authentication process. You receive a Certificate of Authenticity with the artisan's name, family lineage, craft technique, materials used, and creation date. Provenance you can trust.
No Provenance or Documentation
Most sellers can't tell you who made the piece, what materials were used, or where it was created. You're buying a mystery — with no way to verify its authenticity or cultural significance.
Complete Artisan Stories
Every piece comes with its full story — the artisan family's history, the specific technique used, the cultural significance of the motifs, and often a personal message from the creator. You don't just own art; you own a chapter of India's living heritage.
Artisans Exploited by Middlemen
Master artisans — families who've preserved these traditions for centuries — often receive less than 20% of the retail price. Middlemen capture the value, while the creators struggle to survive.
Fair Trade, Direct Support
No middlemen. No exploitation. When you buy from Avyaan, you're directly sustaining families who have kept these art forms alive for generations.
Poor Quality Shipping & Handling
Heritage art requires specialized packing and handling. Most online sellers use standard packaging, resulting in damaged pieces arriving at your doorstep — with little recourse for the buyer.
Museum-Grade Protection
Acid-free archival materials, custom-fitted protective layers, and reinforced corners ensure your art arrives in perfect condition. Every package is insured and tracked. If anything goes wrong, we make it right — guaranteed.

What are the risks of buying art prints from unverified online sellers?
The internet is flooded with mass-produced prints passed off as original art. Most are unlicensed copies — the real artist sees nothing from the sale. Before you buy, always verify that what you're getting is legally licensed and genuinely handmade.
At Avyaan, authenticity is non-negotiable. Every piece is made to order by a master artisan — not printed, not replicated. We work only with verified craftspeople rooted in India's GI-tagged traditions, and every artwork ships with a Certificate of Authenticity. You know exactly who made it, and they are paid fairly for it.
Why do handmade artworks cost more than mass-produced items?
Handcrafted pieces carry something no machine ever can — years of practice, inherited technique, and the undivided attention of a master artisan. When you buy from Avyaan, you're not paying for a product off an assembly line. You're paying for skill honed over a lifetime, materials chosen with care, and a tradition kept alive through every brushstroke, chisel, or weave.
Each piece is naturally one of a kind. Even when an artisan works within the same style or motif, no two pieces are ever identical — that's the nature of the human hand.
Depending on the size and complexity, our pieces can take anywhere from a few days to several months to complete. That time is what you hold in your hands when it arrives.
Choosing handcrafted is choosing slow, intentional making — something created with purpose, not produced for volume.
Can I customise or personalise an artwork?
Yes — most of our pieces can be customised in colour, size, and design elements to suit your specific requirements. Since everything is made to order, personalisation is at the heart of how we work.
You can also commission a fully bespoke piece, created from scratch based on your vision. Whether it's a Pichwai for a specific space, a Tanjore portrait of a loved one, a Pattachitra panel inspired by a personal story, a Bhil art composition for your home, or a hand-painted Pichwai plate for a gifting occasion — our master artisans can bring your idea to life within their traditional craft form.

How do I know if an artwork is in stock or made-to-order?
Each product page clearly mentions whether the piece is Ready to Ship or Made to Order, displayed under the product title.
Since every handcrafted piece takes time to create, we also maintain a selection of Ready-to-Ship artworks for those with a shorter timeline — these ship out within a few days of ordering.
Do you offer framing services for artworks?
Our artworks are sold unframed unless explicitly mentioned otherwise on the product page. Tanjore Paintings are an exception — they are shipped with a frame as standard. We do not offer framing services at this time.
Do Avyaan artworks come with a certificate of authenticity?
Yes, every piece comes with a digital certificate of authenticity. It verifies the artwork, the master artisan behind it, and the craft tradition it belongs to — so you always know the full story of what you own.
Are the product photos accurate representations of the artwork I will receive?
We photograph and present every piece as accurately as possible, ensuring colours and details are true to life. Since each artwork is entirely handcrafted, slight natural variations may occur — and we believe that's part of what makes every piece genuinely one of a kind.

What goes into the pricing of a custom or bespoke artwork?
A handcrafted artwork is never priced by the inch. What you're paying for is the artisan's mastery, the hours of focused work, and the skill that no formula can measure.
When a piece is ordered in a size the artisan is familiar with, they work from a well-practised sense of composition — the layout, the balance, the placement of each motif is already intuitive to them. A custom size changes all of that. The artisan must start fresh — reimagining the entire composition to suit the new dimensions, ensuring every element sits with purpose and the artwork feels whole, not merely scaled.
That process of rethinking, planning, and refining takes considerably more time and creative effort. Which is why bespoke commissions carry a higher price — not as a premium, but as a true reflection of the work involved.
How long does it take to receive a custom or commissioned artwork?
Once you've shared what you have in mind, we'll come back to you with pricing within 24–48 hours.
Since every commissioned piece is made solely for you, we ask for a non-refundable advance before the artisan begins work. From there, we stay in touch — sharing 2–3 progress updates along the way so you can see your piece taking shape.
Most commissions are ready within 3–4 weeks. If you're requesting something built entirely from the ground up, set aside at least 5–6 weeks for the artisan to do it justice. We'll always be upfront about timelines before work begins.
Prefer a different colour palette on an existing design? Share your preference and we'll present 4–5 colour swatches after the first sketch — you choose, and we take it forward from there.
Can I send an Avyaan piece as a gift with custom packaging and a personal message?
Absolutely. A handcrafted artwork makes one of the most meaningful gifts you can give — something made with skill, steeped in tradition, and built to last a lifetime.
You can request gift packaging at checkout, and we'll include a personalised message of your choice. Your gift will arrive beautifully wrapped and ready to leave an impression.
How far can an artwork be customised to match a design vision?
More than you might expect. Size, colour palette, subject matter, format — most elements can be tailored to suit your vision, with the artisan guiding what's possible within their craft tradition so nothing is lost in translation.
And if you're looking for something that doesn't exist yet, we can build it from the ground up — original compositions and installations conceived entirely around your space and its story.
Is shipping free?
All orders above ₹2,000 qualify for free delivery across India.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Delivery timelines vary by product and location. Ready-to-Ship pieces typically dispatch within a few days, while Made-to-Order handcrafted pieces require additional time depending on the complexity of the work. Exact timelines are mentioned on each product page.
For any delivery-related queries, feel free to reach us on WhatsApp or call +91 90162 33045.
Are all Avyaan products handmade?
Yes. Every piece at Avyaan is handcrafted by skilled artisans whose families have been preserving these traditions for generations. Slight variations in texture, color, or finish are natural, making each creation truly one of a kind.
Do you offer returns or refunds?
Since every piece in our collection is handcrafted to order by master artisans, we do not accept returns or exchanges for items received in good condition.
In the rare event of damage or a defect upon delivery, please reach out to us within 48 hours with clear photographs at info.avyaan25@gmail.com or via WhatsApp. We will work with you on a repair, replacement, or store credit — whichever resolves it best for you.
Approved refunds are processed immediately on our end; your bank may take 5–7 business days to reflect the amount.
